Outdoor pup

Well, we've had Missy about a week and one thing I've noticed is she is happier when she's outside. She loves romping with the other dogs that live nearby. In fact, if she's not eating, drinking or sleeping she's sitting at the door begging to go outside. As she gets more familiar with her surroundings, she goes farther off into the big world around her. I have to admit that it makes me nervous to see her wander off, but my faith gets stretched a little more each day. I hoped she would be my companion dog right at my side for when my beloved was away but all she wants is to play outside.
I'm trying to be okay with that. She still comes in at night and snuggles with us so I can't complain.

Tuckered out

Missy snoozing after her first outing. We took her to the vet and ran a few errands. She did pretty good in the car but was ready to come home. She just loves playing outside and doesn't mind the snow. She jumps and burrows her way down the yard licking it as she plays. She almost seems to prefer to be outside but loves her cuddle times too.

One Baby

I learned to knit baby cardigans last month after a friend showed me a pattern she got. It looked too hard for me so I found one called "One Baby" on Ravelry and found it to be an easy knit. I had so much fun making them that I knit three in one week. The pattern is $1.00 for the newborn size. It's a great way to get a feel for the pattern.  The designer makes a larger size for $5. I think it goes up to 8 years old.

I took some time off from blogging and was ready to delete the whole thing, but glad I didn't. I guess I just needed the break.

It feels nice to be back.

Our lives are changed forever. Missy fills our hearts with joy, laughter and fun. We've only had her a few days and already she's housebroken. She's learning the rules and is a sweet pup. She was dumped in our town and found by the neighbors who unfortunately couldn't keep her. Lucky for us we could! We promised them visitation rights. Life will never be the same. :-)
